  • Extensive experience running competitive sourcing RFx projects and contract drafting
  • Extensive experience negotiating complex IT goods and services deals
  • Strong leadership techniques and people development methods
  • Extensive experience managing change in global sourcing projects
  • Extensive experience with project management tools and techniques
  • Extensive interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Excellent contractual and commercial expertise
  • Experience collaborating with tactical procurement teams
  • Good supplier performance improvement tools & techniques
  • Expert communicator with strong soft skills
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscape
  • Ability to build rapport as a trusted commercial partner
  • Experience exploiting procurement technology
  • Experience in savings calculations, forecasting and recording
  • Experience in global strategic sourcing function (advantageous)
  • Experience in professional services/ consultancy matrix organisation (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of construction, infrastructure, transport or professional services sector (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of Coupa (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of PowerBI (advantageous)
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Degree in commercial, economics, business, or engineering
  • Nationally recognized professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPM)

Tasks

  • Lead IT category management across multiple countries
  • Identify sourcing projects for cost savings and quality improvement
  • Manage major strategic sourcing projects in IT
  • Analyze demand and supply for IT category
  • Develop and implement business strategies for IT sourcing
  • Manage tender processes and negotiate commercial contracts
  • Support Business Lead in project implementation
  • Manage Sourcing Managers on category-based projects
  • Enhance supplier relationship management with strategic suppliers
  • Ensure commercial management of strategic supplier contracts
  • Use key performance indicators to monitor supplier performance
  • Escalate performance issues with suppliers
  • Utilize procurement technology and spend analytics
  • Identify opportunities for commercial value and cost savings
  • Improve operational efficiency and service quality
  • Deploy fast, guided, and strategic buy channels
  • Work with operational procurement teams on less strategic IT spend
  • Support Procurement’s target operating model
  • Implement no PO no pay policy and use of catalogues
  • Develop change and project management plans
  • Support new ways of working from category-based initiatives
  • Demonstrate high standards of delivery
  • Share best practices with the global Procurement team
  • Review and improve end-to-end IT spend processes
  • Enhance management of supplier base and channel management
  • Improve contract management and purchase order compliance
  • Optimize workflow and approvals
  • Refine payment processes and data analytics
