Senior FP&A Specialist(m/w/x)

Description

You will drive the company's financial strategy by leading planning cycles and building complex models. Your day-to-day involves partnering across teams to optimize costs and provide vital C-level insights.

Requirements

• •5+ years experience in banking, fintech, strategy consulting, investment banking, or financial planning/controlling
• •Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or similar
• •Strong financial modelling across P&L, balance sheet, and capital
• •Advanced Excel & PowerPoint; experience with SQL, VBA, Python, Pigment is a plus
• •Understanding of financial statements and cost structures in regulated industries
• •Analytical, structured, detail-oriented, and hands-on approach
• •Strong communication skills for translating complexity into clarity
• •Effective collaboration across functions and comfort with senior stakeholders
• •Ability to challenge assumptions, negotiate priorities, and operate in fast-moving environments
• •Strong interest in fintech, banking, and regulatory frameworks
• •Fluency in English; German is a plus

Tasks

• •Lead budget and multi-year planning cycles
• •Monitor performance against plans and recommend corrective actions
• •Support various cost-efficiency initiatives
• •Build integrated P&L, balance sheet, liquidity, and capital models
• •Run scenario analyses under regulatory constraints
• •Provide financial insights for C-level decision-making
• •Prepare monthly reporting packs and variance analyses
• •Analyze unit economics, margins, and capital impacts
• •Align management, accounting, and regulatory financial views
• •Plan and track direct costs, vendor spend, and OPEX
• •Analyze cost drivers and partner cost-to-serve
• •Partner with Procurement and P&O on cost optimization
• •Support budgeting governance and four-eyes processes
• •Ensure accurate allocations, accruals, and audit-ready documentation
• •Provide financial guidance to Tech, Commercial, and Operations teams
• •Support pricing, partner onboarding, and strategic initiatives
