Description

As a Senior Flight Software Engineer, you will take charge of the entire software development process, collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance. This role involves analyzing risks, managing requirements, and delivering high-quality software on time.

Requirements

• •Education in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical, Computer Science, or related technical field
• •Extensive experience (5+) in developing and qualifying real-time embedded software for spacecraft or safety-critical systems
• •Deep understanding of embedded processor architectures and real-time operating systems
• •Strong command in C/C++ or Rust with proven ability to design deterministic, resource-constrained and fault-tolerant software
• •Active team player, creative and open-minded, strong communicative skills
• •Experience defining flight software architectures and interfaces across multiple spacecraft missions or product lines
• •Engineering know-how in different spacecraft subsystems

Tasks

• •Own the flight software architecture and development
• •Lead the full software lifecycle from requirements capture to qualification
• •Collaborate with subsystems engineering teams for interface definition
• •Define and manage software requirements and configuration baselines
• •Oversee software integration and test campaigns
• •Analyze technical risks and propose mitigation strategies
• •Prepare and deliver technical documentation and presentations
• •Contribute to technical proposals with development plans and cost estimates
• •Ensure timely delivery of verified software builds and documentation
• •Assign and oversee responsibilities within the engineering project team
• •Assess resource requirements and forecast task durations
• •Establish and monitor financial budgets within the task management framework
• •Lead technical negotiations with clients and stakeholders
• •Serve as interim project manager when required
