- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
- Exposure to cloud/CI/CD cost optimization strategies
- Familiarity with monorepo tooling (pnpm, Turborepo)
- Enjoyment of building foundations and structure
- Motivation by reliability, security, long-term sustainability
- Systems thinking and trade-off analysis (developer experience, cost, risk)
- Deep care for protecting sensitive health and financial data
- Desire for high-impact role in shaping engineering operations
Tasks
- Design and build cloud infrastructure
- Own infrastructure across environments
- Align infrastructure roadmap with product growth
- Support platform evolution to service-oriented architecture
- Plan and execute database upgrades
- Ensure infrastructure reliability and scalability
- Establish security-first engineering practices
- Improve access control and secrets management
- Conduct dependency audits and security scans
- Identify and mitigate infrastructure risks
- Ensure compliance with data protection standards
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines
- Eliminate unnecessary CI work
- Enable on-demand testing and validation
- Improve developer feedback loops
- Advocate for developer experience
- Enhance monitoring and logging
- Define service-level indicators and alerts
- Detect and resolve production issues
- Support incident response and reviews
- Collaborate with engineers on infrastructure
- Partner with product and leadership on trade-offs
- Document infrastructure and processes
- Act as DevOps advisor
