Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering
- Advanced degree preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in equipment development
- Experience with steam, vacuum, and thermal management systems
- Strong expertise in industrial equipment design
- Strong expertise in prototyping
- Strong expertise in testing
- Hands-on experience building lab-scale hardware
- Hands-on experience validating lab-scale hardware
- Hands-on experience building pilot-scale hardware
- Hands-on experience validating pilot-scale hardware
- Proven track record of innovation
- Proven track record of rapid prototyping
- Ability to creatively solve engineering challenges
- In-depth knowledge of detail design
- In-depth knowledge of design-for-manufacture

- Familiarity with process industry

Tasks
- Invent new CO₂ collector system architectures
- Design and develop practical, manufacturable equipment
- Prototype and test concepts and sub-systems
- Design experiments to validate concepts
- Troubleshoot and optimize designs
- Collaborate with sorbent and process experts
- Align material and process properties with mechanical implementation
- Develop deep understanding of sorbent and process performance
- Invent new implementation methods for collectors
- Contribute to scale-up from lab to pilot to industrial scale
- Balance performance, reliability, and CAPEX
- Collaborate with the Industrialization team on detailed engineering
- Ensure manufacturing compliance and scaling
- Create strong feedback loops for innovation
- Document designs, insights, and lessons learned
- Keep stakeholders aligned and informed
- Monitor industry state of the art
- Generate new intellectual property
