Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- MBA or professional certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Familiarity with US GAAP and SOX is a plus
- Experience in inventory accounting
- Experience in HR/Employee Benefits accounting
- Experience in CH payroll is a plus
- Experience in multinational / complex matrix environments
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work with large datasets
- Ability to leverage AI tools such as Copilot
- Excellent communication skills

Tasks
- Manage inventory accounting for APL and affiliates
- Handle complex inventory calculations for APAC and Europe
- Report quarterly inventory outcomes to region heads
- Conduct variance analysis and monthly reporting
- Review inventory reconciliations and variances
- Improve month-end closing processes
- Support finance and systems projects
- Collaborate with Global Supply Chain Finance and Operations
- Maintain accurate schedules and procedures
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Coach and support junior team members
- Manage payroll, STI, vacation, and social charges accounting
- Support month-end close for HR accounting
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Analyze HR accounting fluctuations
- Support Global Mobility and other HR initiatives
- Address complex accounting topics
- Participate in HR balance sheet reviews
- Ensure IFRS compliance
- Explain variances to senior management
- Follow global standards and internal control frameworks
- Resolve HR accounting issues
- Ensure alignment with Alcon Accounting Manual and AFCM
- Comply with SOX 404 and internal controls
- Document and update HR and inventory accounting policies
- Meet SLA/KPI targets
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Work closely with AGS& Fribourg R2R teams
- Collaborate with Country Finance, HR global COE, and Supply Chain Finance
- Provide expert support on accounting topics
- Contribute to capability building within the CoE
