Requirements
- 4+ years in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, or DevOps with security focus
- Deep AWS security services experience (IAM, GuardDuty, CloudTrail)
- Deep AWS EKS and Kubernetes experience
- Deep Terraform experience
- Ability to script in Python for security checks
- Proven SIEM platforms experience
- Proven SAST/DAST tools experience
- Proven CI/CD integrations experience (GitHub Actions)
- Ability to explain complex vulnerabilities to developers
- Reliability and ability to finish tasks
- Proactive communication and context gathering
- Curiosity about business aspects and use cases
- Ability to design and build systems from scratch
- General intelligence and quick learning ability
Tasks
- Own infrastructure, strategy, and architecture
- Build systems to prevent vulnerabilities
- Implement cloud hardening
- Establish pipeline guardrails
- Set up SIEM
- Manage vulnerability management
- Ensure platform security
- Make platform auditable
- Prepare platform for regulators
- Act as a bridge between engineering and product
- Serve as technical authority for security tooling
- Empower developers to build secure software
- Integrate security into the development process
- Map the attack surface in AWS and GitHub
- Identify security gaps
- Remediate security issues
- Implement security guardrails in pipelines
- Manage security alerts
- Lay groundwork for SOC 2
- Implement DAST and SAST in developer workflow
- Configure SIEM for high signal data ingestion
- Automate SIEM actions
- Establish a vulnerability management lifecycle
- Design, validate, and test BC/DR plans
- Ensure SOC 2 evidence is available
- Integrate threat modeling into the design phase
- Complete SOC 2 compliance
- Build the foundation for bank launch
- Deliver services securely with a product and customer focus
- Teach teams to ship securely
- Collaborate with teams across the company
- Own entire security problems
