Tasks

  • Support students with ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and Autism
  • Focus on Math and Science instruction
  • Plan and facilitate individual needs-based small classes
  • Create and monitor student ISPs and IEPs
  • Report and review student progress regularly
  • Teach in both Francophone and Anglophone sections
  • Communicate student needs to parents and staff
  • Maintain accurate records and track student referrals
  • Deliver instruction to Cooperative Learning Groups
  • Develop structured and multisensory lessons
  • Provide differentiated instruction based on learning styles
  • Adapt syllabus content to meet student needs
  • Implement effective classroom management systems
  • Assist teachers with classroom strategies and observations
  • Advise boarding house parents on academic issues
  • Lead professional development workshops for staff
  • Review admission files and recommend support levels
  • Meet with potential families regarding learning challenges
  • Support the SEN Coordinator with departmental operations
  • Stay current with learning difference research and trends
