Requirements

  • Knowledge and skills in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communications engineering, or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience in areas of responsibility
  • Knowledge and experience in un-manned Space Systems, particularly payload system
  • Knowledge and experience in Safety and Reliability Engineering in Aeronautical or Space sector
  • Knowledge and experience of hazard analysis and fault tree analysis
  • Knowledge of Safety processes, regulations and guidelines (ECSS-Q-ST-40C, ARP 4761, ARP 4754A)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and strong sense of responsibility
  • High level of commitment, flexibility and strong service mentality
  • Very good written and spoken English and German
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Education

Bachelor's degree
OR
Vocational certification

Work Experience

approx. 1 - 4 years

Tasks

  • Perform RAMS tasks at spacecraft system, subsystem, or equipment level
  • Conduct safety assessments at various product maturity stages
  • Evaluate safety for operations, removal, and repair activities
  • Establish reliability, availability, and maintainability analyses
  • Prepare FMECA, HSIA, and fault tree analyses
  • Define RAMS requirements in collaboration with equipment suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with defined requirements during design development
  • Prepare hazard analyses for spacecraft, equipment, and ground support equipment
  • Collaborate with FDIR architects on failure detection, isolation, and recovery
  • Prepare documentation and present work results
