Requirements

  • •University degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • •Minimum 3 years’ experience in commodity trading risk, preferably in natural gas or Power
  • •Strong experience with European NatGas valuation (physical and financial products)
  • •Solid understanding of FX risk
  • •Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • •Proficient in Excel; Python, VBA and SQL are a plus
  • •Strong communication skills; fluent in English (French or other European language a plus)

Tasks

  • •Measure, analyze, and report market risk for natural gas trades
  • •Review mark-to-market valuations and challenge trader assumptions
  • •Develop and maintain risk reporting for traders and management
  • •Validate deals and ensure accurate deal capture in trading systems
  • •Enhance risk valuation models and maintain data integrity
  • •Collaborate with Traders, Front Office, Operations, Finance, IT, and Compliance
  • •Contribute to senior management reporting of trading results
  • •Identify operational risks and support process improvements
  • •Provide backup support for other Risk Officers as needed
