Requirements
- Belief in physical AI through factory deployments
- Excitement for turning robotic stacks into foundational training data for physical AI
- Desire to bridge ML research and industrial robotic execution
- Expertise in Robotics and ML, or eagerness to learn
- Engineering or technical degree, or relevant sales experience
- Extensive automation and/or intralogistics experience
- Ability to engage customers on solution designs
- Successful logistics consultant or key account manager experience
- Very high empathy and signal understanding
- Excellent English communication
- Excellent German communication
- Ability to work in fast-changing scaleup environment
- Deep experience in ML, systems engineering, and robotics intersection
- Experience training, fine-tuning, deploying deep learning architectures
- Policies validated on real hardware
- Strong software engineering skills
- Strong infrastructure skills
- Proficiency in Python
- Proficiency in deep learning frameworks
- Ability to write clean, scalable code
- Comfort working hands-on with hardware
- Understanding of robotics full stack
- Ability to debug software-hardware failures
- Ability to move between research and implementation
- Preference for execution and iteration speed
- Preference for real-world robustness over theoretical purity
Tasks
- Design and implement core infrastructure for VLA model training
- Maintain scheduling, distribution, job management, and logging systems
- Build tools for launching, monitoring, and debugging complex experiments
- Utilize offline deployment logs to pre-train robust robot models
- Translate research needs into infra capabilities and track experiments
- Analyze results and collaborate with ML researchers to unblock progress
- Design new robotic tasks and physical setups for evaluation
- Configure and calibrate robots for real-world rollouts
- Run structured on-robot evaluations to measure success rates
- Analyze real-world results to guide ML research direction
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks in software and hardware
- Beta test internal and third-party tools for teaching new skills
- Write clear, structured documentation for workflow reproduction
