Requirements

  • Completed Master’s degree with doctorate in engineering, natural or environmental sciences
  • Several years of professional experience in sustainability assessments, particularly P-LCA, LCC, and social LCA
  • Experience with LCA software: openLCA, Brightway, Activity Browser, energy scenario modelling
  • Knowledge in energy technology, energy systems, raw material extraction, chemical processes
  • Excellent command of English
  • Knowledge of German is an advantage
  • Proven experience in writing reports and scientific publications
  • Strong organisational and communication skills

Tasks

  • Conduct prospective environmental life cycle sustainability assessments
  • Perform economic and social sustainability analyses
  • Collect and analyze data for sustainability assessments
  • Interpret assessment results
  • Develop tools and models for sustainability assessments
  • Create energy scenarios and databases
  • Support life cycle assessment activities
  • Co-supervise academic theses
  • Publish research findings
