Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Min. 5 years compressor development experience
- Solid understanding of turbomachines
- Strong Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, and Mechanical Integrity knowledge
- Experience with 3D CFD tools and FEM
- Sound knowledge in Python and Matlab
- Familiarity with compressor testing and validation
- Open mindedness and strong interpersonal skills
- Proven track record in compressor design
- Experience in turbine design (advantageous)
- High level of structuring and self-organization
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Apps
- Fluency in English and German
Tasks
- Design compressors considering aerothermodynamics, mechanical integrity, and materials
- Validate and qualify compressor products
- Support advanced concept studies on compressor topics
- Shape the compressor technology roadmap
- Act as the internal interface for all product lines
- Coordinate with internal and external test facilities
- Support turbine development efforts
- Manage compressor design from pre-engineering to product maintenance
- Provide manufacturing support for compressor components
