Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or related technical field
- Experience in polyurethane-based adhesive technologies
- Understanding of adhesive applications in transportation, particularly automotive
- Proficiency in English
- Proficiency in German
- Knowledge of additional languages is advantageous
- Analytical mindset
- Effective problem-solving capabilities
- Technical knowledge in service operations

- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with software for statistical analysis
- Familiarity with software for data visualization
- Understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) principles
- Understanding of Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
Tasks
- Advance adhesive technologies using polyurethane and silane chemistry
- Ensure products meet automotive manufacturing standards and performance requirements
- Master adhesive testing methods and equipment
- Understand and apply OEM and Tier supplier quality standards
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, production, engineering, and quality assurance
- Develop and improve mechanical testing procedures
- Market adhesive products and handle customer complaints
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Qualify multiple raw material alternatives for supply security and cost optimization
- Provide technical guidance to Procurement and Product Management
- Coordinate raw material analyses and qualification
- Support localization projects for specific customers
- Adapt products to local regulatory requirements and market preferences
- Support scale-up activities during commercial product launch
- Oversee manufacturing processes during localization
- Facilitate technology transfer to new production sites
- Engage with production and quality assurance teams to drive improvements
- Work with engineering to enhance mechanical testing processes
- Execute lab work in compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical claims using analytical material characterization
- Design and implement new testing methodologies
- Identify gaps in existing evaluation processes
- Create robust and reliable test protocols
- Ensure accurate quantification of novel performance parameters
