Requirements

  • PhD or equivalent degree
  • Minimum 3 years of technical experience
  • Chemistry, physics, material science, geology or related discipline
  • Expertise in laboratory techniques and instrumentation
  • Spectroscopic techniques and solid-state image sensors (CCD, CMOS, CID, etc.)
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Technical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to design experiments and interpret complex data
  • Proficiency with relevant software and data analysis tools
  • Good knowledge of statistics
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Experience leading technical projects
  • Mentoring colleagues
  • Proficient in English
  • Knowledge in metallurgy

Tasks

  • Participate in developing new product and technology concepts
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on specifications
  • Test and validate new products and technologies
  • Optimize new products and technologies with R&D functions
  • Develop new applications for existing and new instruments
  • Provide technical information and documentation to teams
  • Design and execute experiments to resolve technical challenges
  • Analyze experimental data
  • Demonstrate leadership and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Lead a workstream of innovative technical projects
  • Provide analytical support for existing products and applications
  • Support Operations, Service, Marketing, Sales, and Customers
  • Mentor new and less experienced colleagues
  • Follow additional job-related instructions from team leader or manager
  • Promote best practices for Quality, Customer Orientation, Safety, Health, and Environment
  • Report gaps, deviations, and dangerous situations
