Requirements
- PhD or equivalent degree
- Minimum 3 years of technical experience
- Chemistry, physics, material science, geology or related discipline
- Expertise in laboratory techniques and instrumentation
- Spectroscopic techniques and solid-state image sensors (CCD, CMOS, CID, etc.)
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Technical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to design experiments and interpret complex data
- Proficiency with relevant software and data analysis tools
- Good knowledge of statistics
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent documentation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience leading technical projects
- Mentoring colleagues
- Proficient in English
- Knowledge in metallurgy
Tasks
- Participate in developing new product and technology concepts
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on specifications
- Test and validate new products and technologies
- Optimize new products and technologies with R&D functions
- Develop new applications for existing and new instruments
- Provide technical information and documentation to teams
- Design and execute experiments to resolve technical challenges
- Analyze experimental data
- Demonstrate leadership and commitment to continuous improvement
- Lead a workstream of innovative technical projects
- Provide analytical support for existing products and applications
- Support Operations, Service, Marketing, Sales, and Customers
- Mentor new and less experienced colleagues
- Follow additional job-related instructions from team leader or manager
- Promote best practices for Quality, Customer Orientation, Safety, Health, and Environment
- Report gaps, deviations, and dangerous situations
