- Design diamond quantum processor layout for efficient gate operation
- Drive theoretical analysis and simulation for quantum device development
- Collaborate with quantum engineering teams on control and readout methods
- Work with software application team on quantum algorithm development
- Design innovative quantum architectures for NV-based platforms
- Define and verify requirements for qubit characteristics and system control
- Model performance of quantum devices, including gate fidelity and noise
- Develop strategies for optimal performance of quantum devices
- Identify and design symmetries in quantum architectures for circuit simplification
- Craft experiments using NV centers in diamonds to scale qubit numbers
- Test and simulate new qubit architectures and control technologies
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team of engineers and architects
- Support team members in gaining technical expertise
