Requirements

  • Experience in managing private sector partnerships (asset)
  • Demonstrated experience in successful fundraising and resource mobilization
  • Prior experience with UN, international NGOs, or financial institutions (asset)
  • Strong understanding of global health financing landscape (asset)
  • Clinical background and qualified public health specialist
  • Solid analytical and drafting skills for health programme materials
  • Strong understanding of humanitarian, development, and private sector financing
  • Professional competence in English (oral and written)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong logical thinking capacity and organizing skills
  • Knowledge of another UN language (asset)

Tasks

  • Coordinate multi-regional and global funding initiatives
  • Liaise with stakeholders on thematic concept notes
  • Draft budgets for proposals and fundraising packs
  • Develop public health-related narratives and indicators
  • Negotiate funding requests to meet donor requirements
  • Refine public health reports for earmarked funding
  • Track potential contributions and projected funding
  • Monitor progress of public health earmarked contributions
  • Map potential private sector donors and partnerships
  • Stay updated on global public health developments
  • Build field staff capacity on donor requirements
  • Train fundraisers on contribution and operations management
  • Research and develop standard thematic fundraising materials
  • Translate technical language into accessible donor content
  • Identify new fundraising opportunities through market research
  • Respond to thematic queries from the fundraising network
  • Provide updates on thematic priorities and funding gaps
  • Produce high-quality annual public health reports
  • Support staff development on resource mobilization tools
