- Maintain R&D budgets
- Ensure commercial success of product lines
- Respond to technical market demands
- Provide technical product maintenance
- Manage project teams for customer projects
- Meet project timelines, cost, and quality targets
- Manage R&D activities to meet development targets
- Improve products in the long term
- Coordinate R&D teams across multiple locations
- Control projects through development phases
- Manage product standardization
- Maintain technical state of the art
- Manage design to cost and design for manufacturing
- Ensure safety functions in customer applications
- Stimulate R&D activities for feasibility studies
- Implement procedures and tools to improve productivity
- Enhance project and R&D transparency
- Manage and adapt R&D and project resources
- Set priorities for resources
- Ensure appropriate training for team members
- Manage team performance
- Foster external R&D collaboration
- Engage with working groups and laboratories
- Ensure compliance with certification norms (ISO and IRIS)
