Product Developer Apparel(m/w/x)
Developing and launching new apparel lines, managing product lifecycles with buying department collaboration. 4+ years experience with Adobe Suite and womenswear/menswear knowledge required. International environment, physical and mental health programs.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience
- Strong ability with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Strong knowledge of womenswear and menswear, preferably Outlet division
- Clear understanding of Guess Brand DNA
- Knowledge and experience using conventional and unconventional fabrics and materials
- Familiarity with vendor management and negotiation
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem solving and negotiating skills
- Flexibility in ever-changing, fast-paced environment
- Deadline driven with track record of delivering excellent results on time
- Extensive computer experience including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Model Form, Enovia
- Fluent English
- Ability to travel to all countries within designated regions
Tasks
- Research, develop, and launch new apparel products
- Manage product development and planning through the lifecycle
- Gather and prioritize product requirements
- Collaborate with the buying department
- Ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met
- Align products with business strategy and goals
- Oversee product process aligned with business objectives
- Maintain a calendar to meet sample deadlines
- Research new styles and models for buyers
- Create specification sheets for new products
- Manage quality control up to PPs and approve them
- Fit prototypes
- Coordinate and update Excel grids with buying department data
- Check lab-dips and artwork with size developments
- Work with the product management team for an efficient process
- Participate in cross-functional teams for product development
- Collaborate with tech design and quality control offices
- Create and follow up on technical cards with suppliers
- Communicate daily with factories on sample progress
- Troubleshoot product development issues
- Negotiate factory costs to meet targets and margins
- Visit factories and resolve issues
- Manage costs and style referencing
- Meet with specialized local vendors
- Attend fashion and textile shows
- Provide SKU analysis
- Create style/color/codes and maintain data in Enovia
- Fill BOMs in Enovia
