Description

As a Principal Backend Engineer, you will lead the development of innovative systems that enhance how customers discover fashion on Zalando. This role involves mentoring engineers, collaborating with diverse teams, and shaping the technology landscape to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Requirements

• •Experience in building complete product experiences using supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, and computer vision
• •Expertise in design and development of resilient, scalable distributed systems in cloud infrastructure, preferably with Kubernetes and AWS
• •Strong background in designing and developing ML models and systems
• •Hands-on experience in managing large-scale systems
• •In-depth experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch
• •Good communication skills and experience leading organization-wide collaborations
• •Experience coaching and mentoring senior engineers
• •Strong advocacy for agile processes, operational excellence, and adherence to coding best practices
