Requirements
- University degree qualifying for doctoral studies in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or comparable qualification
- Solid knowledge in data analysis, statistics, and AI methods, especially machine learning and deep learning
- Understanding of energy market structures and dynamics is desirable
- Strong initiative, team orientation, and structured working style
- English language level B2
- German language level C1
Tasks
- Develop AI-supported forecasting models for electricity prices, consumption, and generation
- Plan intelligent storage and power-to-X systems
- Simulate energy market scenarios
- Evaluate flexibility options in e-mobility
- Analyze the value of AI applications in the energy sector
- Design and test innovative AI approaches for complex energy problems
- Identify new AI application fields from electricity price forecasting to e-mobility flexibility
- Create a strategic concept for AI use in energy processes
- Lead practical digitalization and AI projects
- Support project integration into operational workflows
- Collaborate with a professor to define the doctoral topic
- Ensure supervision and topic confirmation from a qualified professor
