Performance Engineer Adsorption(m/w/x)

Description

Experimental design and KPI-based dataset structuring for carbon capture scale-up at direct air capture specialist. Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for statistical performance modeling required. 4-week annual remote work option, 25 days vacation.

Requirements

• •Master’s degree, PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field
• •Strong understanding of adsorption fundamentals and transfer processes
• •Ability to interpret performance drivers across scales
• •Experience designing experiments and working with datasets
• •Proficiency in Python or MATLAB
• •Clear communication of findings
• •Maintenance of structured and reproducible workflows
• •Contribution to well‑organized technical documentation
• •Autonomous work style and technical alignment
• •Proficiency in spoken and written English

Tasks

• •Translate system-level and scale-up questions into experimental objectives
• •Define required datasets and operating windows
• •Ensure testing generates reliable and decision-ready performance evidence
• •Process and structure KPI-based datasets with statistical rigor
• •Identify trends and operational limits
• •Evaluate thermal or transport constraints
• •Quantify uncertainty to deliver robust experimental insights
• •Compare model predictions with experimental outcomes
• •Identify calibration gaps and model assumptions needing refinement
• •Diagnose deviations and propose targeted model improvements
• •Contribute to standardized validation workflows
• •Align KPIs and test plans with Process Development and Technology teams
• •Ensure clear technical communication and maintain structured documentation
