MedTech Digital Project Engineer(m/w/x)
Advising sales on digital solutions for products treating kidney diseases, managing implementation projects. 5+ years technical project management and medtech sector experience required. Frequent customer site visits, global project coordination.
Requirements
- Qualified training or studies in computer science, IT, information or project management, Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent
- 5+ years of technical project management experience and 3+ years of direct customer service experience
- Experience in the medtech sector, hospital IT infrastructure or similar medtech role
- Local language required and fluent English
- Proficient IT user skills (MS Office, SAP, intranet, remote tools) and solid IT skills (MS OS, SharePoint, Server OS, SQL Server, cybersecurity, O365, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of e-health basics, data security, digitalization, and software/digital engineering processes
- General knowledge of communication protocols (HL7, TCP/IP) and clinical information systems (PDMS, HIS, EHR, LIS, PACS)
- Knowledge of information systems, connectivity, networks, cloud, mobile technologies, and applications
- ITIL certification and/or PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or CSM certification is an advantage
- Strong, flexible, and customer-focused, able to prioritize, work independently or in teams, solve problems, analyze data, plan actions, and adapt with a hands-on, results-driven approach
Tasks
- Advise sales teams on suitable digital solutions
- Provide pre-sales input during customer site visits
- Manage implementation and migration projects
- Coordinate with internal teams and lead project resources
- Act as sub-project manager when required
- Handle customer and subsidiary communication
- Ensure customer IT readiness
- Create project plans and align timelines
- Organize end-user training
- Track project KPIs and profitability
- Ensure smooth handover to support
- Follow up on open issues after project closure
- Install, configure, and test digital solutions
- Complete MDR- and SOP-compliant documentation
- Document change requests and support instruction creation
- Maintain the knowledge base
- Manage remote access and use project management tools
- Contribute to process and template improvements
- Support the DSO Support Hub as needed
- Comply with all FME policies and training requirements
- Set priorities to meet productivity, quality, and time standards
