Requirements
- Qualified Doctor or similar degree
- Extensive experience in Medical Affairs function within the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong knowledge and expertise in core therapy areas (CVRM and Respiratory & Immunology)
- Extensive experience in relationship and stakeholder management
- Experience in pre-launch, launch and product life cycle management
- Experience in building, engaging and driving performance through a team
- In-depth knowledge in specialty and primary care market and patient journeys
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop capability across cross-functional teams
- In-depth understanding of account planning
- Strong leadership capability with excellent communication skills and an enterprise mindset
- Strategic thinking and execution
- Fluency in English and knowledge of at least one local language
- Knowledge of Swiss healthcare environment including regulatory and pricing/reimbursement processes
- Good knowledge of one or ideally multiple local languages
Tasks

- Identify and close evidence generation gaps for scientific advancement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external experts and organizations
- Increase scientific footprint and strategic partnerships in core disease areas
- Develop and implement innovative patient-centric solutions
- Build a high-performing Medical Affairs team
- Identify roles and capabilities for future success and recruit top talent
- Manage performance and drive results with a focus on execution excellence
- Inspire capability development within the Medical Affairs team
- Implement and monitor cross-functional account planning and customer engagement strategies
- Ensure compliance with company standards and ethical interactions
- Contribute to the success of the AZ Switzerland business as a senior leadership team member
