Requirements
- Engineering degree (materials science, process, chemistry, physics, or similar)
- Manufacturing process development or production engineering experience (incl. joining/surface technologies)
- Hands-on experimental and process development experience
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
- Collaborative mindset and cross-functional environment experience
- Fluent English and good German (min. B1, willingness to improve)
- Curiosity, experimental mindset, and openness to new approaches
- Medical device or electronic manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of hearing instrument production processes
- Experience with statistical tools (e.g., Minitab) and SAP
Tasks
- Develop manufacturing processes for hearing instruments, chargers, and accessories
- Optimize joining and encapsulation technologies for electronic components
- Conduct feasibility studies for new manufacturing solutions
- Collaborate with R&D teams in Stäfa and Murten
- Support laboratory-scale process development in the ME lab
- Drive design transfer to Operations Centers
- Support industrialization activities
- Characterize and qualify manufacturing processes
- Benchmark manufacturing processes
- Perform process and failure analysis
- Improve process stability, quality, and yield
- Define process-related design rules
- Promote Design for Manufacturing principles
- Support production teams with technical expertise
- Handle NC and CAPA topics
