Maintenance Supervisor(m/w/x)
Overseeing maintenance operations across 3 campuses in Switzerland and the UK. Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance operations, preferably in hospitality, education, or multi-site environments, required. On-call rotations and support during extraordinary events.
Requirements
- Technical qualification in building maintenance, electrical, mechanical systems, or related field (CFC or equivalent preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance operations, preferably in hospitality, education, or multi-site environments
- Previous experience supervising a team or coordinating contractors strongly preferred
- Good understanding of Swiss safety standards and building regulations
- Solid knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, access control, fire safety, emergency systems)
- Ability to plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Budget awareness and cost-control mindset
- Comfortable using maintenance tracking tools and basic administrative systems (PO management, reporting, Excel)
- Strong organizational, planning, communication, and reporting skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Team-oriented leadership skills with ability to give clear instructions and follow up on execution
- Fluent written and spoken English and French, other languages a plus
Tasks
- Prepare and distribute monthly maintenance schedules
- Share schedules with Head of Security & Maintenance
- Participate in daily coordination meetings
- Hold regular on-site meetings with maintenance team
- Assign tasks and provide clear instructions
- Monitor task progress and completion
- Keep Head of Maintenance informed of all work and issues
- Inspire and support team through training and development
- Develop and document maintenance procedures
- Supervise external contractors for quality and safety
- Monitor service execution for efficiency and reliability
- Maintain strong presence during daily operations and events
- Provide technical guidance for equipment and infrastructure
- Schedule and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance
- Ensure proper functioning of safety systems and signage
- Manage purchase orders and product reception
- Maintain daily operations file with task tracking
- Ensure documentation is accessible to management
- Maintain inventories and lifecycle planning
- Oversee budgets, timelines, and technical specifications
- Support Head of Maintenance in emergencies
- Coordinate insurance claims with security and operations
- Prepare regular reports for management
- Identify and propose operational improvements
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and practices
- Participate in on-call rotations for support
