Lead Infrastructure Engineer(m/w/x)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
• Extensive (10+ years) experience in infrastructure engineering or related role
• Leadership or team-lead experience, managing and mentoring engineers
• Strong coding/scripting skills, automating cloud/operational tasks
• Deep understanding of infrastructure fundamentals
• Security-first mindset, identifying risks, designing controls
• Skills in systems design, integration, design standards, tools
• Experience in test planning, problem management, preventive measures
• Excellent communication, consulting, stakeholder collaboration
• Proactive, accountable, lateral thinking for solutions

Tasks

• Lead the design, implementation, administration, and support of infrastructure solutions and services.
• Develop, review, and enforce system design and integration standards across the service/product lifecycle.
• Write and maintain scripts and automation for cloud infrastructure and operational tasks.
• Identify information security risks, design, and embed mitigating controls into solutions.
• Coach team members on modern standards, practices, and technology selection.
• Take accountability for incidents.
• Proactively identify potential problems and preventive measures.
• Initiate and monitor problem-management actions.
• Determine remedies and assist with their implementation.
• Plan and coordinate functional and non-functional testing.
• Advise on test strategy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across compute, storage, networking, software, and COTS/Open Source.
• Engage with product managers, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into reliable solutions.
