Junior Protocol Officer(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Previous experience in protocol-related activities, institutional relations, or high-level event organisation
- Strong connection to local region and good knowledge of institutional stakeholders in Canton of Geneva and Haute-Savoie
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Methodical, flexible, and responsive work style
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion, tact, and professionalism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective interaction at all levels in multicultural and multidisciplinary settings
- Sound judgement, reactivity, and capacity to work under time constraints
- Spoken and written English and French
- Maximum two years of professional experience since graduation in International Relations or related field
- Highest educational qualification is Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
- Applicants without University degree are not eligible
- Applicants with a PhD are not eligible
Tasks
- Contribute to organizing and coordinating protocol visits
- Participate in preparing and delivering high-level visits
- Prepare detailed visit programs
- Ensure logistical coordination of official visits
- Liaise with relevant CERN services and stakeholders
- Monitor operational follow-up of visit programs
- Ensure smooth execution of visit programs
- Accompany delegations as required
- Supervise technical aspects of visits
- Ensure compliance with schedules
- Manage unforeseen or evolving situations
- Contribute to administrative and logistical activities
- Contribute to project-related activities
- Receive on-the-job training in protocol practices
