Junior Proposal Engineer(m/w/x)
Developing technical proposals for small satellite launch services. Familiarity with ESA programs and customer-facing documentation required. Virtual company share program, 30 days vacation.
Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Strong written and oral communication for technical topics
- Strong written communication for customer-facing documentation and proposals
- Exposure to customer-facing engineering documentation, technical proposals, or feasibility studies
- Familiarity with ESA or other institutional space programs
- Ability to analyze technical and programmatic requirements
- Solid understanding of space missions, spacecraft systems, or launch vehicle capabilities
- Experience with CAD design and/or mission analysis for spacecraft
Tasks
- Develop technically robust proposals
- Support commercial and institutional launch service programs
- Lead and coordinate launch service bid activities
- Ensure proposals reflect system capabilities and constraints
- Conduct technical analyses
- Create structured proposal documentation
- Participate in customer-facing technical exchanges
- Develop customer-facing technical proposal content
- Create mission concepts and system descriptions
- Analyze trade-offs and compliance matrices
- Translate customer and program requirements
- Generate clear and traceable technical responses
- Document assumptions, constraints, and exclusions
- Coordinate with Mission Engineering and experts
- Generate technically credible proposal inputs
- Translate complex technical concepts
- Prepare proposal material for non-technical stakeholders
- Assess technical feasibility and compliance status
- Evaluate schedule drivers and key technical risks
- Contribute to bid/no-bid decisions
- Act as technical point of contact
- Handle customer technical exchanges and Q&A
- Define and refine technical Statements of Work
- Support technical clarification during contract development
- Translate customer and contractual requirements
- Generate inputs for internal development teams
- Contribute to mission engineering analysis
- Strengthen proposal assumptions and reference missions
- Consolidate customer feedback and market inputs
- Support evolution of future launch service offerings
- Participate in customer meetings
- Build confidence through technically sound contributions
- Maintain consistent technical messaging
