Junior Engineer Tapeout Systems/Tapeout Operations(m/w/x)
Managing final IC design preparation for mask creation and coordinating global fab logistics at a semiconductor manufacturer. EDA tools knowledge (Calibre DRC/LVS, Cadence Virtuoso) and scripting experience required. Relocation assistance, 13th month salary, family-friendly part-time models.
Requirements
- Master or Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry or related field of study
- Knowledge of design and manufacturing of Integrated Circuits in Sub micron technologies
- Knowledge of Electronic design Automation (EDA) tools - physical layout design and verification - Calibre DRC/LVS, Cadence Virtuoso
- First experience with scripting languages (TCL, Python, Perl Shell)
- Linux user, able to operate on a UNIX environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Fluent in spoken and written English (at least C1)
- Flexibility as a team player and motivation as an Individual Contributor
- Knowledge of the Photo Mask Making process
- Familiarity with Product Layouts, KERF or FRAME Design, EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor Calibre
- Experience in Structured Problem Solving (SPS)
- Technical Program Management skills
Tasks
- Contribute to the design of next-generation Tapeout Systems
- Support daily Tapeout Operations activities
- Perform Design Rule Checks and prepare mask data
- Coordinate work across global teams
- Collaborate with Fabs, OPC teams, and Tapeout Logistics
- Identify workflow improvement opportunities
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to projects
- Learn and adopt new technologies
- Create and maintain documentation and training materials
- Support process documentation efforts
- Identify potential failure modes and contribute to mitigation strategies
- Carry out responsibilities safely while supporting EHS programs
