Sourcing and executing private equity investments in energy infrastructure at a specialized boutique. 3-6 years relevant experience in energy/M&A/PE/consulting and complex financial modeling expertise required. Flexible working conditions.
Requirements
- Outstanding academic credentials from a top-tier university or business school
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in energy/utilities, M&A/private equity, or consulting/advisory
- Strong affinity for energy technologies and power markets
- Expertise in complex financial modeling and valuation concepts
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset
- Fluency in English; additional languages, particularly German, are advantageous
Tasks
- Support the investment lifecycle from sourcing to execution
- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in energy infrastructure
- Assist in transaction execution, including financial modeling and valuation analysis
- Prepare investment memoranda for the Investment Committee
- Coordinate due diligence processes with external advisors and internal experts
- Assist in structuring transactions and negotiating with sellers, partners, and lenders
- Conduct market research to inform investment strategies
- Lead add-on transactions for portfolio companies
- Support refinancing and optimize debt capital structures
- Drive active value creation processes for portfolio companies
- Analyze key performance indicators to monitor asset developments
- Maintain and enhance valuation models to track investment performance
- Support strategic decision-making with qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Manage legal agreements related to capital structure and business strategy
- Develop periodic reports for investors, lenders, and investment committees
- Manage relationships with industry partners and external service providers
- Oversee liquidity planning and financial covenant control
