Intern Materials & Processes Engineer(m/w/x)
Technical documentation and qualification of CFRP materials for satellite systems and launch vehicles. Minimum 5th semester of Material Sciences or Mechanical Engineering studies with B2 German and English required. Small project leadership, manufacturing and testing support in aerospace production.
Requirements
- Master or Bachelor student in Material Sciences or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5th semester of Bachelor studies
- Very good German and English (min B2)
- Ability to communicate in daily business
- Experience in aerospace industry or composite materials (CFRP) advantageous
- Critical thinking and rational problem-solving skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
Tasks
- Develop cutting-edge satellite systems for the space industry
- Collaborate with experts on diverse customer projects
- Support the manufacturing and testing of various parts
- Lead your own assigned projects
- Write technical documentation to qualify space-application materials
- Define characterization methods for metals, composites, and surface treatments
- Supervise the manufacturing and testing of specimens
- Analyze and interpret test data using theoretical knowledge
- Develop and validate new processes
