Innovation Engineer - Robotics Lead(m/w/x)
Designing and developing robotic systems for medical sterilization equipment, including component selection. Solid knowledge of ROS/ROS2, SLAM, motion planning, and practical sensor/actuator integration required. International project collaboration, hands-on environment.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in robotics (kinematics, dynamics, control algorithms, system architectures, technical product development)
- Hands-on experience with automation technologies and rapid prototyping
- Solid knowledge of ROS/ROS2, SLAM, motion planning, perception systems, and practical experience integrating sensors, cameras, actuators, motor controllers
- Programming skills in robotics software development (C/C++, Python, Go) in Linux environments with Git and distributed systems
- Familiarity with simulation environments; NVIDIA Isaac Sim experience (plus)
- Knowledge of machine learning approaches for perception or decision-making (beneficial)
- Excellent analytical, coordination, communication, and presentation skills
- Hands-on approach, curiosity, teamwork skills
- Strong willingness to learn

- Translate functional requirements into technical concepts
- Design robotic systems based on use cases and processes
- Develop robotic systems from technical designs
- Choose and assemble robotic components (actuators, manipulators, platforms)
- Create system descriptions using robotics design tools
- Train robots using suitable systems and state-of-the-art tools
- Implement and configure embedded software (firmware)
- Adapt and optimize scripts or control algorithms
- Manage motion control, path planning, and sensor integration
- Utilize robot operating systems (ROS/ROS2) for navigation, control, and autonomy
- Ensure interoperability with cloud systems, digital twins, and analytics platforms
- Assemble prototypes to validate performance, safety, and reliability
- Specify test procedures for robotic functions
- Conduct system-level testing and debugging
- Perform root-cause analysis of robotic functions and behaviors
