- 7+ years technical program management, incident management, or security operations experience
- Led or built incident response programs at technology company
- Track record turning incident data into organizational improvements
- Comfortable participating in on-call responsibilities and leading incident response
- Experience building and scaling operational processes from ground up
- Excel at driving accountability and follow-through without direct authority
- Strong analytical skills and incident trend analysis experience
- Highly organized with knack for bringing structure to ambiguous situations
- Excellent communication skills, especially under pressure
- Thrive in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Required field of study relevant to the role

Tasks
- Own end-to-end D&R incident management program
- Drive detection workflows, response processes, and escalation paths
- Establish communication standards and remediation tracking
- Serve as incident commander for security incidents
- Coordinate across executive, engineering, security, and legal stakeholders
- Establish and manage incident commander rotations
- Ensure clear ownership and effective coordination during incidents
- Drive post-incident accountability and action item completion
- Capture, assign, track, and complete tactical and strategic improvements
- Gather and analyze incident trends and patterns
- Report on systemic risks, recurring root causes, and organizational vulnerabilities
- Translate trend analysis into cross-functional initiatives
- Partner with engineering, infrastructure, security, and product teams
- Prioritize and implement broad fixes and preventive improvements
- Lead incident review forums and post-mortems
- Ensure learnings are captured, socialized, and acted upon
- Develop and maintain D&R incident response documentation
- Create and update playbooks, runbooks, and training materials
- Keep documentation current with evolving threats and systems
- Partner with detection engineering to improve alert fidelity
- Reduce noise and shorten time-to-detection for security events
- Define and track incident management KPIs
- Report regularly to D&R and Security leadership
- Support cross-functional training and initiatives
- Uplevel security awareness across the company
- Conduct tabletop exercises, training, and talks
