Tasks

  • Line manage House Parents and Graduate Assistants.
  • Provide daily mentoring, supervision, and support to boarding staff.
  • Contribute to onboarding, training, and appraisal processes.
  • Attend Boarding Leadership Team meetings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive improvements.
  • Oversee daily house routines.
  • Manage student behavior within the house.
  • Facilitate student communication.
  • Ensure house health and safety.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
  • Oversee room allocations and sign-out procedures.
  • Coordinate evening supervision.
  • Manage emergency procedures.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with families.
  • Monitor student academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and social development.
  • Liaise with teachers, tutors, counsellors, and medical staff.
  • Coordinate student support as necessary.
  • Apply behavioral expectations consistently.
  • Promote a positive, respectful culture.
  • Lead initiatives to build house spirit.
  • Promote student voice.
  • Organize student celebrations.
  • Manage weekend planning for trips and activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments for trips and activities.
  • Implement feedback systems for trips and activities.
  • Maintain high standards for house facilities.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Complete regular house checks.
  • Respond to findings from termly inspections.
  • Promote compliance with safeguarding standards.
  • Promote compliance with health and safety procedures.
