Group CO₂ Specialist(m/w/x)
Shaping climate ambitions and strengthening decarbonization efforts for a global manufacturing group. CSRD and GHG Protocol experience required. Flexible hybrid working, secure job.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in sustainability, CO2 strategy, environmental management, or related fields
- CSRD and GHG Protocol experience required
- Practical experience with decarbonisation measures, CO₂ strategy development, and target setting
- Experience working with or presenting to top management highly desirable
- Experience in multinational corporate environment is an advantage
- Experience in construction industry or similar is preferred
- University degree in technical, economic, business, or sustainability-related field
- Strong analytical and data skills capabilities
- Ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable business insights
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management capabilities
- Structured, detail-oriented and collaborative mindset
- Ability to work effectively with Group-level and local expert teams
- English fluency required in writing and speaking
- SBTi, Ecovadis and related reporting or assessment frameworks are a strong asset
- Experience with product carbon footprint or life cycle assessment would be an asset
- German fluency is considered a strong advantage
Tasks
- Shape climate ambitions for the Liebherr Group
- Strengthen decarbonization efforts
- Improve emissions data quality and governance
- Translate strategic CO2 goals into operational reality
- Support implementation of Group-wide CO2 accounting processes
- Ensure alignment with reporting frameworks
- Consolidate emissions data across product segments
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness
- Support climate-related disclosures for reports
- Define and implement CO2 governance framework
- Ensure clear roles and responsibilities
- Integrate CO2 considerations into business planning
- Support product development and operational processes
- Support Group-wide decarbonization initiatives
- Set and assess CO2 targets
- Evaluate and propose CO2 reduction opportunities
- Monitor progress against Group targets
- Track effectiveness of initiatives
- Coordinate between Group-level and local teams
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing and methodology alignment
- Develop and deliver training and workshops
- Provide strategic recommendations to top management
- Create guidance materials for internal audiences
