Requirements

  • Strong knowledge in developing large software projects using Java
  • Strong knowledge in full-stack development with React, Angular, or TypeScript
  • Strong knowledge with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
  • Strong knowledge in Agile and DevOps practices
  • Experience setting up AI-augmented software development practices and pipelines (plus)
  • Backend development using Java
  • Frontend development using React, Angular, or TypeScript
  • Experience with SQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Git
  • CI/CD tools
  • Spoken and written English
  • Commitment to learn French
  • National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
  • Maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in IT
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
  • University degree required
  • PhD not eligible

  • Implement backend applications using Java
  • Build web applications with React and TypeScript
  • Analyze and streamline existing software packages
  • Reimplement software following new architecture
  • Modernize the Engineering Data Management System (EDMS)
  • Define AI-oriented software development pipelines
  • Integrate data workflows and models
  • Deploy AI-oriented software practices
  • Conduct code reviews
  • Test and deliver software
  • Provide software support
