Tasks
- Drive end-to-end material sourcing
- Work closely with suppliers and factories
- Ensure materials meet performance, quality, timeline, cost, and sustainability requirements
- Identify and develop material suppliers
- Evaluate supplier capabilities for lead time, manufacturing process, quality, and pricing
- Ensure material availability according to development timelines and policies
- Support creation and sourcing of technical, high-performance materials
- Own material-related execution from concept to production
- Contribute to material-specific sustainability targets
- Identify opportunities to improve material performance and sustainability
- Manage core and seasonal material toolboxes and libraries
- Define and manage technical specifications and quality standards
- Partner with testing and QA teams for material approval
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, factories, and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Development, Marketing, Innovation, Sustainability, and Planning teams
