Finance & Innovation Lead(m/w/x)
Mobilizing private and philanthropic stakeholders for forest conservation investments. 7-10 years finance or nature finance experience required. Scoping forest landscape opportunities, stakeholder engagement, and project management.
Requirements
- 7–10 years relevant experience in finance, investment, banking, nature finance, innovation, or related fields
- Understanding of capital structures and blended finance instruments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills with investors, corporates, philanthropy, and government
- Strong project management skills, including driving progress and prioritizing activities
- Ability to synthesize complexity and present compelling narratives
- Excellent written and spoken English
- French, Spanish, and/or Portuguese language skills (plus)
- Outstanding team player and collaborator
- Solutions-oriented, proactive, responsive to feedback, and comfortable operating in ambiguity
- Thrive in a convening role, facilitating alignment across actors
Tasks
- Identify and assess investment opportunities
- Profile expanding portfolio of opportunities
- Engage private and philanthropic stakeholders
- Create enabling conditions for investment and innovation
- Lead scoping and identification of forest landscape opportunities
- Design and deliver forest landscape opportunities
- Support critical forest landscapes in alignment with FFA member needs
- Lead FFA event design and delivery
- Develop thought leadership and synthesis products
- Build awareness and support for forest finance and innovation
- Translate complex opportunities into compelling narratives
- Attract and sustain new partners through strategic communications
- Oversee innovative business models and financing mechanisms
- Support long-term results for conservation and restoration
- Engage corporates and asset owners
- Understand challenges and needs in forest financing
- Calibrate stakeholder needs with civil society and governments
