Requirements
- 2+ years Engineering Management experience
- 6+ years Software Engineer experience
- Meaningful time in product-focused roles
- Meaningful time in domain-heavy roles
- Energised by features with direct end-user impact
- Care about correctness in financial consequence domains
- Comfortable with evolving scope
- Actively use AI tools to multiply output
- Excited to help team use AI tools

- Stay hands-on in codebase
- Comfortable reviewing PRs with feedback
- Comfortable shipping code yourself
- Live Coding problem-solving session
- System Design architecture contribution
- Mock 1:1 coaching conversation
Tasks
- Lead the engineering team building compensation and savings features
- Set technical direction and run 1:1s with team members
- Support engineers' growth and development
- Promote effective use of AI tools in coding and workflows
- Build clear and accessible product experiences for complex compensation structures
- Develop relationships with direct reports and understand compensation domain
- Review PRs and understand product compensation models
- Collaborate with PD leadership and other EMs
- Ensure team's delivery rhythm and unblock engineers
- Identify and address complex or fragile areas in the domain
- Establish regular coaching conversations with team members
- Partner with PM and Design on expanding compensation coverage
- Lead performance reviews and career development discussions
- Be a trusted technical leader for compensation and savings features
- Deliver measurable improvements to product quality and employee experience
- Contribute to architecture and domain modeling discussions
- Demonstrate people management skills through mock coaching conversations
