In this hybrid role, you will blend hands-on engineering with leadership, guiding a team while ensuring high-quality delivery. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve coding, mentoring engineers, and collaborating across teams to align technical execution with strategic goals.

Requirements

• •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• •5+ years in a Technical Leadership position
• •Expertise in architecting and maintaining high-concurrency, low-latency trading systems
• •Advanced proficiency in Rust; working knowledge of Node.js and Python is an advantage
• •Deep experience with data-intensive architectures and real-time data pipelines
• •Proven track record deploying and operating AWS environments for ultra-low-latency workloads
• •Hands-on experience containerising applications and managing Kubernetes clusters
• •Familiarity with GitOps workflows for infrastructure provisioning and deployments
• •Solid command of software engineering best practices, including Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
• •Knowledge of DevSecFinOps principles for security and compliance
• •Demonstrated leadership of engineering teams with a commitment to collaboration and mentorship
• •Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• •Deep domain knowledge of finance and trading, particularly in cryptocurrency
• •Experience in fast-paced financial or fintech environments is highly desirable

Tasks

• •Act as the technical point of accountability for the Service Market Making Business Unit
• •Balance strategic thinking with pragmatic delivery
• •Champion collaboration across teams
• •Inspire and develop engineers through mentorship and coaching
• •Drive delivery and alignment with the Head of Engineering
• •Contribute to coding while focusing on architecture design
• •Provide structured feedback through design and code reviews
• •Guide system design for scalability and resilience
• •Uphold engineering best practices and coding guidelines
• •Manage technical debt and lead refactoring initiatives
• •Work closely with product managers, designers, and QA engineers
• •Anticipate technical risks and propose mitigations
