Energy & Climate Analyst(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Python or similar)
- Knowledge of carbon accounting or LCA methodologies
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders
- Spoken and written English
- Spoken and written French
- Commitment to learn the other language (English or French)
- National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation
- Degree in Energy and Climate Engineering (Energy Systems, Climate Science), Environmental Engineering, Industrial Ecology (or related field)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before
- Applicants without University degree are not eligible
- Applicants with a PhD are not eligible
- Valid driving licence
Tasks
- Support annual update of greenhouse gas inventory (Scopes 1, 2, and 3)
- Propose solution to increase Scope 3 data granularity
- Update emission factors
- Contribute to emission projections for HL-LHC and FCC-ee phases
- Support scenario analysis for future emission trajectories
- Develop and implement procedures for decarbonisation data traceability
- Support assessment of reduction potentials and implementation feasibility
- Investigate potential of new decarbonisation KPIs
- Lead update of regulatory watch activities for energy standards
- Assist in preparing ISO 50001 documentation
- Contribute to audit preparation and action plan follow-up
- Support energy data analysis and review activities
- Contribute to weekly situation points
