Requirements

  • Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field
  • Experience in Embedded Linux (Yocto) or RTOS (Zephyr) development
  • Proficiency in embedded programming (C, C++, Rust, Shell, Python)
  • Experience with kernel driver development and hardware interfaces
  • Skill in hardware debugging tools and communication protocols
  • Knowledge of embedded security
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and test automation
  • Experience with infrastructure administration (Advantageous)
  • Motivated, proactive, and results-driven personality
  • Excellent English and German proficiency (Advantageous)

Tasks

  • Design and develop embedded software for building control devices
  • Maintain the core embedded software platform
  • Build and optimize kernel drivers and system services
  • Update firmware update mechanisms and security modules
  • Manage communication stacks and related system components
  • Integrate open-source technologies like Zephyr, Linux, and Yocto
  • Collaborate with U-Boot and other OSS projects
  • Enhance CI/CD pipelines for development and deployment
  • Streamline testing and deployment workflows
  • Drive test automation and continuous testing infrastructure
  • Deliver scalable embedded solutions with agile teams
  • Contribute to and represent Siemens in open-source communities
  • Drive innovation within embedded platforms
