Tasks
- Develop electronic hardware designs for electricity meters
- Create designs from specifications through to mass production
- Focus on industrial meters and smart grid components
- Ensure products meet international standards and cost requirements
- Conduct predevelopment, feasibility studies, and technical specifications
- Collaborate with product management to define requirements
- Create simulations, schematics, and design descriptions
- Coordinate with layout, mechanical, and firmware departments
- Select, evaluate, and qualify electronic components
- Perform reliability assessments including MTBF and derating
- Manage local components including PCNs and EOL processes
- Introduce alternative components to the supply chain
- Participate in design reviews for hardware solutions
- Execute and document hardware test specifications
- Support RED and other necessary certifications
