Electrical Engineer – Quality Assurance(m/w/x)

- Programming (e.g. Python, LabVIEW)
- Data management (e.g. SQL or databases)
- Technical documentation or report writing
- Exposure to superconducting systems (nice to have)
- Exposure to cryogenic environments (nice to have)
- Developing measurement methods (nice to have)
- Developing test equipment (nice to have)
- Interest in electrical testing techniques
- Interest in electrical measurement techniques
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Basic data acquisition knowledge
- Basic signal analysis knowledge
- Willingness to learn new tools and technologies
- Spoken and written English

- Commitment to learn basics of other language (English/French)
- National of a CERN Member State
- National of a CERN Associate Member State
- Max two years professional experience since graduation
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Never had a CERN fellow contract before
- Never had a CERN graduate contract before
- University degree required
- PhD not eligible
Tasks
- Conduct electrical tests on HL-LHC magnets
- Test interconnections, components, and circuits
- Prepare and execute electrical test campaigns
- Improve and document test procedures
- Investigate non-conformities with fault diagnostics
- Analyze data for non-conformity investigations
- Collect electrical qualification data
- Organize data from internal and external teams
- Process measurement data from superconducting circuits
- Analyse and visualise measurement data
