Electrical Engineer for the CMS Detector(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Master's Degree or equivalent relevant experience in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Established experience in design and analysis
- Low-voltage power distribution systems design
- Hands-on experience with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of complex power distribution systems
- Proficiency in electrical measurement and diagnostic instruments
- Solid understanding of electrical schematics and cabling documentation
- Ability to produce high-quality documentation using electrical design software
- Knowledge of power distribution equipment
- Knowledge of high-reliability connection principles
- Experience in organizing teamwork
- Working within multidisciplinary teams
- Ensuring safety in the workplace
- Construction, test and commissioning of electrical circuits and networks
- Operation and maintenance of electrical circuits and networks
- Construction, test and installation of power electronic components and systems
- Knowledge and application of electromagnetic compatibility, interference and susceptibility
- Electrical safety and risk management
- Supporting and acting in accordance with team decisions

Tasks
- Lead CMS electrical infrastructure activities
- Interface with CERN electrical infrastructure team
- Refine specifications for CMS needs
- Validate technical solutions
- Coordinate technical solution implementation
- Supervise power distribution cabling
- Participate in safety assessments
- Manage lock-down and re-powering of systems
- Oversee electrical network evolution
- Interface with contractors and support groups
- Report to Technical Coordination
- Coordinate scheduling and co-activity requirements
- Monitor work progress and risks
- Procure and install power systems and cables
- Collaborate with CMS lead electrical engineer
- Collaborate with cabling coordinator
- Establish QA/QC procedures
- Document test execution
- Supervise site activities
- Ensure proper documentation
- Support detector re-powering
- Ensure operation readiness
