Requirements
- •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- •Fluency in English; proficiency in German or French considered an asset
- •Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and impacts on GHG reduction
- •Knowledge of packaging design validation standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.)
- •Proficiency in 3D CAD software
- •Understanding of process improvement and quality improvement concepts
- •Six Sigma/ Lean Certification
- •Knowledge of regional packaging and labelling regulations
- •Commitment to DuPont Core Values and Behaviors
- •Ability to multi-task and prioritize complex workload
- •Ability to meet commitments, troubleshoot and solve problems
- •Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Education
Tasks
- •Serve as the primary packaging contact for EMEA region
- •Oversee the complete packaging development process
- •Create packaging designs and develop prototypes
- •Conduct performance testing on packaging solutions
- •Collaborate with local teams to validate new materials and designs
- •Implement packaging processes and best practices with the Global Packaging Team
- •Design packaging systems using recyclable materials and optimize weight and size
- •Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives for packaging
- •Eliminate over-specification to enhance manufacturing integrity
- •Participate in product introduction teams for new market launches
- •Work with suppliers to optimize packaging designs for manufacturability
- •Explore automation options for packaging solutions
- •Coordinate packaging validation activities and confirm qualification documents
- •Specify efficiency tools and test methods for packaging design validation
- •Ensure accuracy of technical data related to packaging materials
- •Assist teams with troubleshooting packaging-related issues
- •Address regulatory exposures and ensure compliance with safety standards
- •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet regulatory requirements
- •Support Procurement in evaluating and selecting packaging vendors
