Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Engineering, or related quantitative field
  • Minimum 12 years relevant experience in data science, scientific software development, or statistical computing
  • Minimum 3 years in formal people leadership role
  • Success leading high-performing technical teams in scalable platform/tooling development
  • Ability to align platform strategy with organizational needs
  • Ability to translate user requirements into sustainable, high-impact solutions
  • Strong understanding of scientific computing practices
  • Understanding of workflow automation, reproducibility, platform integration

Tasks

  • Lead a team developing and maintaining scalable tools.

  • Define and drive strategic direction for DSX platforms and tools.
  • Oversee development, scaling, and maintenance of computing infrastructure.
  • Ensure computing infrastructure performance and compliance.
  • Align infrastructure with scientific and regulatory requirements.
  • Guide investment and architectural decisions for computing environments.
  • Guide investment and architectural decisions for reusable code libraries.
  • Guide investment and architectural decisions for automation frameworks.
  • Ensure seamless integration of DSX solutions with enterprise systems.
  • Champion best practices in software development, reproducibility, and design.
  • Monitor technologies and user needs to inform platform evolution.
  • Represent DSX capabilities and priorities in forums and planning.
  • Enable scalable delivery models and technical standards.
  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team.
  • Set team priorities, manage performance, and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and talent development.
  • Plan and allocate resources, optimizing team capacity.
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performing team.
  • Mentor and advise technical leaders and contributors.
