Director, Regional Congresses and Events, Europe(m/w/x)
Orchestrating global congresses and large-scale events for a late-stage oncology company. Significant biotech industry experience leading end-to-end event planning required. International travel, advanced degree preferred.
Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience
- 12+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry
- 5+ years’ experience in global congress strategy and operations
- Significant experience leading end-to-end planning and execution of congresses and large-scale events within biotech industry
- Strong knowledge of global healthcare compliance frameworks and application to congress and event activities
- Solid financial acumen with demonstrated experience in budget planning, forecasting, and cost management for complex events
- Proven ability to lead complex projects across multiple stakeholders, managing competing priorities and timelines with strong attention to detail
- Experience managing external vendors and agencies, including contract negotiation, scope definition, and performance oversight
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with event management and registration platforms preferred
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with ability to build alignment across cross-functional teams
- Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent communication and presentation capabilities
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment with evolving priorities
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, driving initiatives from concept through delivery

Tasks
- Lead strategic planning and execution of regional and international congresses and events.
- Manage the full congress lifecycle, from annual planning to post-event evaluation.
- Serve as primary point of contact for congress activities, aligning with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Drive cross-functional planning processes, setting clear timelines and milestones.
- Oversee all aspects of congress delivery, including exhibit strategy and attendee engagement.
- Manage event logistics, including registration, accommodation, and venue coordination.
- Develop and manage congress budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control.
- Support Medical Affairs in logistical execution of symposia and investigator meetings.
- Integrate congress activities into omnichannel engagement strategies.
- Implement innovative approaches to elevate congress presence and engagement.
- Lead vendor and agency partnerships, including selection and performance management.
- Support booth staffing, training materials, and on-site team coordination.
- Drive post-congress activities, including debriefs and performance tracking.
- Provide guidance to country teams on national congresses and key events.
- Ensure compliance with RevMed policies, industry codes, and legal requirements.
- Lead planning and execution of internal events, aligning with business priorities.
- Oversee development of event materials and post-congress reports.
- Track deliverables, budgets, documentation, and resolve issues.
- Support transparency reporting and documentation of HCP interactions.
- Model RevMed’s values in all aspects of congress and event delivery.
