You will lead the strategic oversight of river cruise operations on the Rhine and Danube, ensuring the fleet maintains peak safety, regulatory compliance, and navigational excellence.

Requirements

• •Master Mariner or Chief Officer license preferred
• •Ten years inland passenger vessel navigation experience
• •Track record in fleet operations and safety
• •Experience with European river systems and regulations
• •Valid certifications and advanced navigation training
• •Expert knowledge of navigation and waterway regulations
• •Strong leadership and crisis management skills
• •Proficiency in voyage planning and bridge systems
• •Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• •Ability to work in multicultural environments
• •No immigration sponsorship required

Tasks

• •Lead fleet-wide navigation and docking strategies
• •Ensure compliance with European inland waterway regulations
• •Oversee voyage planning and lock scheduling
• •Develop and improve nautical policies and procedures
• •Monitor navigational performance and implement corrective actions
• •Support professional development for Captains and Officers
• •Liaise with port authorities and classification societies
• •Conduct audits to ensure operational readiness
• •Drive navigational safety and sustainability initiatives
• •Represent the company in industry forums
• •Maintain relationships with national waterway authorities
• •Advocate for operational interests in trade associations
• •Manage vessel certification and ISO standards compliance
